Educating Girls in Rural China
- Grade 9-10 transition problems occur in china (high school is free: $800 a year per student)
- 40% of grade 9 graduates are able to go to grade 10
- Muslim Girls are married off

- School generated funds
- The net decline in student enrolment; they expected a 440 student enrolment increase, but the result was 300 lower
- Funding cut back $800,000. Supplemental funding from the government of BC is $800,000 + supplement of $600,000. Net revenue of 600000 put towards special needs program. Not surplus or deficit
- Schools will be in charge of their own school generated funding, and the district will be in charge of flex funds.
- How will this affect the student body? This will not because student activities come from school generated funding

Passport to Play is an interschool Olympic torch relay between Vancouver Secondary Schools.

Date for Vancouver District canned food drive is November 22-December 13
Idea for prize:
Trophy (like the Stanley Cup) may be made for the winner of the Canned Food Drive every year
VanCity Idol:
